Servers and Long Queues

Hello,

I'm sure you've noticed lately that Server is constantly displaying a 20-person queue. Then you click that "Join" button and you joined the server and you feel like your whole life is a lie because there are only 3 people in there and they all have 100+ ping. How rude! Well, we truly are sorry you are experiecing this.

As many of you know, we have never used "fake slots" in our server. This is really prevalent in BF1 and some BF4 servers. Some people are not as popular as we are so they pretend to have a higher player number than they really do with the objective of getting people to join the server and populate it. What we do is called seeding and all we have is a few AFK accounts in the server.

However, lately, we have been targeted by players that have been banned by BF4DB. They used to only do it to EU servers but they found that the NA servers are ripe with players and why not ruin other people's experience?! Fucking dicks, I know.

What can we do about it as a community? Not much, the bots never fully join the server so we can't ban them. They just "reserve the slot" and not enough information is exchanged for us to ban the account. On the brightside, you can still join the server since the queue isn't really 20 and after a few tries you'll get right through!

I've been trying to get people to start using BetterBattlelog, a community drive Battlelog plugin which let's you customize how your Battlelog looks. Aside from the customization options, it lets you see the TRUE PLAYER COUNT in the server. How? Easy, follow this link and read the instructions about how to set it up. If you have any questions message me on here or Discord and I will do my best to walk you through it

TL;DR: Cheaters get rekt, cheaters stomp feet like a toddler and finds a way to fill up the queue without actually filling it up.
