I agree..... obliteration and rush seems so out of place..... shouldnt those 2 modes belong a different server?

Being our only infantry only this would be the best suited server for these modes to be added to the rotation. We are considering adding in a vote plug in which will make random pop ups throughout the day to ask the server questions and opinions making it easier for us get opinions as not all players come into forums with opinions. We appreciate the input and it will be acknowledged.

Personally I leave the server when it switches to rush or obliteration. One of the reasons I play specifically on server 9 is for the lack of those modes. I have also noticed a lot of the regulars leaving when those modes pop up. Yes the first couple days of the week are harder to keep it full, but correct me of I'm wrong but we have one of the highest population cap %'s BF4 Inf only hardcore world wide. Not saying it's a bad idea or anything, and it is good to try new things. But those modes are not for me and it seems to be the same for a lot of the regulars.

We can take a look at the graphs and see the outcome. If its noticeable I will agree a change should be made.

yea, if the stats show it is detrimental I'm sure the upper admins/leads will change it back. But who knows, some people might prefer to have them in the rotation.

Server stayed populated overnight Saturday, crashed sunday and took a while to restart, stayed populated until about 3-4 am Tuesday, and just took a while to seed Tuesday because, well it was Tuesday and 6 of 9 servers needed to be seeded. I'll pull the stats from our DB in a couple weeks and see if the pop on the maps are low or not.

Instead of dropping OB/R can we try different maps? Metro and Locker are some of the worst designed maps for these in my opinion. The parachute drop is terrible on Locker OB (prone to camping) and the tunnel side of Metro gets jet ski flanked constantly. I love OB and R, and when I'm not playing #9 I'm on #2 or #10, but there are plenty of great maps for OB/R. Maybe over the next couple weeks we can cycle the maps - maybe even throw in a Pearl CTF - and then take a poll? Might be too much work, but I really like the idea of adding map/game modes, just would like to try some other options. Propaganda CTF/OB, Pearl CTF/OB, Lumphini CTF/OB, even Guilin OB is fun. I've had tons of fun SRAWing (or attempting to RPG) the transport choppers on Guilin OB. Maybe even replace CQ with OB on some of the more popular maps like Propaganda. The census is that most players prefer CQ/CL on #9 so I would definitely keep the total number of variance down for now, but I think we can make everyone happy if we mix up the two new ones. I for one am appreciative for the changes regardless, I play #9 often and the cycle has gotten dry. Hopefully with a couple tweaks we can make everyone happy.

These maps used to be popular, the server was a locker/metro ob/rush/cql/dom server. Then they kind of died off so we took them out. Server seemed to need a change up as it was actually taking longer into the day to seed and went from staying populated most nights to emptying out most nights.

Honestly, if these maps aren't gonna work out, probably not going to play with it anymore. Was just trying something new(ish).

I have tried to reset put it back on hardcore, not sure why it wont take. Looks like I'll have to shut it down and restart it before the population picks back up today.

This is because the stability of the server has been poor lately and it seems like it's always dropping into normal mode.  

I blame the emptying out at night on the autobalancer:
-- Between rounds it seems like it shuffles players just to shuffle, if it just ended on a close round it shouldn't do anything. 
-- When a team is just being dominated they need the ability to surrender.

It's also gotten really laggy.  What's the framerate/simulation rate the server is running?  

On a 30Hz server that allows player ping variation/differential between 0 to 150ms, game delays measurably increase when the server's FrameRate/SimulationRate drops below 200.  Below 150fps there are some occasional noticeable issues. But below 75fps players may feel like a lot of bullshit is going on and  start hackusations.  The higher the ping differential the worse it gets and I noticed there are some regulars with over 200 ping.

I don't even know what 2 of those maps are but +1 for Rogue transmission.   Btw, how does votemap work?  Is it possible to add additional options or a "reshuffle map voting options", option?

- It was only in normal mode for two days after the dedicated box crashed and the config was wiped. It was not a long standing issue.

- we only run a balancer because unstacking moves players in the middle of the round when the teams are even. Scramble is enabled to try and prevent back to back blowouts. If people are switching around I can restrict that more, but these have been the same settings for at least a year.

- we will not entertain surrender. Blowouts happen and people troll it.

- ping kicker is active and removes people. It is based on averages not one or two high pings.

Almost forgot, I can take a look at Rogue again, I forget why it did't make it...

Parcel, you start on the ship 800+ m from island with one or two jet skies....
Firestorm, 500-800m from first objective with one or two quads
Giants is same issue as above. To far to go with one or two quads.

The chainlink mode is at 1000 tickets, while the conquest small mode is at 1600 tickets. I think it needs to be reset to 2500 and 1000 tickets, due to the server crash. Cheers.

Yea, looks like the RCon crashed after I went to bed and wiped multiple plugins. It has been restored.
