I’m posting this because of months of whispering in Teamspeak, private message conversations, and just current events.

If I have to stand alone so be it, but these have been the musings of many.

How has MIg changed and what are we supposed to be?

What I mean is, we were told that the reason CMW was becoming MIg was because CMW was associated with one person having centralized power and yet hardly being around. What has changed? Listen, I get that life gets in the way more often than not, but we have Admins that feel powerless because if they act it may be overturned by someone who isn’t around. I don’t know you Brian/PrOpR10CePtIoN, you and dyn0 were both kind of ghosts when I joined a few years ago. How is anything different?
You trusted certain people with power then you take that power away on a whim. I get that removal of people for hacking needs proof. However, suggesting that only PBbans is reliable? That things you can see with your very own eyes don’t apply? I’m at a loss. Where’s the common sense? The feeling, whether it has substance or not, is that certain people must donate and be immune, well, unless they hurt people’s feelings. Bans get revoked on a person a few times they start feeling invincible and begin taunting.
This really boils down to what we are. The home page says we’re a clan. Yet… we’re not really. This is a community. Clans don’t give random people more of the benefit of the doubt than members especially Admins. The difference is actually big. Communities can be rather ambiguous. Anyone who regularly plays on MIg servers is a part of the community already. The tag means nothing right now. The only thing a tag does at the moment is make you feel like you belong to the server group. Then hopefully that sense of belonging will get you to donate to keep the servers up, probably because someone rented the servers as part of a package deal so useless ones can’t be shut down even if we’re in the red. The tags also just are incentive to continue to play on MIg servers thus making them semi populated to bring in other people. There is currently no difference at all between someone who is a regular player on the server and perhaps donates and someone who is a member of MIg.
Maybe I’m way off base. Maybe none of this is accurate. These are just the musings of people at large that I’ve heard either in direct discussion or in passing. The talk, however, of those thinking of donating and some who currently are donating, is to change their minds. I know I personally have ended my donation. I can’t donate where I feel like I’m nothing more than a peon. That’s where communities and clans differ. Clans you are part of the group, whether you’re a competitive clan or not (been in both). Communities, you’re just a person who may or may not wear the same tag as others.

There is so much that goes on behind the scenes dude. You have no idea all the time that Brian and the rest of Leads put into this community.

You are so fucking hell-bent on getting the DM players banned that you have lost sight of what MIg is about. You complain about "spawn camping", you complain about that they're " griefing" every fucking night, yet when I check their chat logs is because you and every player that's on TeamSpeak is talking shit to them.

You need to act your fucking age and quit bitching so much.

Fuck off. This is bigger than those idiots. There's also a lot of talk that goes on in ts. You want to defend things behind the scene then be transparent.

I have no desire in making any personal beefs.
This has been brewing for a while man, recent things just really got people talking more. Don't act like it's because of one group of neanderthals in one of our servers. This is multi server multi game.

I'm not going to shut up just because you insult me.

Stop acting like this is a company and members are just customers and adminis are Tech Support.

You have issues to deal with as a community? Sometimes mentioning is how you get help.

Also, I didn't start this hostile you came at me. I was presenting a problem and asking what the solution was.

Part of the problem is there are just so many people. New people everyday. I've been here 3 years and I may know who higher ups are but a don't know them at all. Guys from my first bf clan back in 2005 I still talk to and play with. Actually ask about their families and shit. Almost as close as guys I served with. I've never had a normal conversation with any lead except Konflict.

...

1) Whispering and conspiring never leads to anything. If you guys want to whisper and conspire then.... Go knife King Tut in the back and leave us alone.

2) Konflict has the ability to handle pretty much anything BF4 related (as long as it keeps in line with our current server guidelines or admin handbook which are both public). Jayrocked has the ability to handle anything Rust (which is posted in our admin guidelines and server guidelines). We don't have a lead for Squad but it is already setup to allow them to have the ability to do anything they need to do. So, not sure how you can say that things remained centralized. Plus, we have 6 users that can access this forum and ban people, move topics, extra. Again--all this is allowed as long as they keep in-line with the guidelines previously laid out.

3) PBBans isn't the only thing we rely on, but since you haven't ever registered and owned a server in PBBans-- you also can't see what we see... And we have been doing this for the last 6+ years. So, can't really lay it all out in a few sentences how it all works between PBBans and PBScreens.

4) Why do I overturn stuff? Because I have been doing this for years and have the experience to determines linked accounts, what we have seen multiple times and have been wrong on, various links/resources. If you were so confident that this latest video you posted was hacker, then WHY IS IT NOW PRIVATE??

5) We're not a clan, we are community. That's right, it should read we are a community and thank you for pointing out that-that was written up wrong.

6) Sorry to see you go on the donations, but this is part of the cycle. No where in our donations package did it say that we would ban someone because you posted some kind of video and are a donator--we shall ban! Those who donate do have a say in our servers, mostly which servers go and which stay. I have built a spread sheet with a formula that updates us on which servers are the most popular per donors. So, if decisions need to be made, we keep those servers that we know people are donating to. If we want to change the server and a bunch of our donors come on and say that will not support that change... Then obviously we don't want to make that change.

Have a nice day. And have fun on whichever other servers you decide to play on. Hopefully you can find a community you get a long better with. Perhaps one that will ban individuals for you posting an out of sync video, or maybe even just claiming someone hacks.

No one was conspiring. Simply talking and wondering g what was going on. That happens when people are left clueless and in the dark.

If power isn't centralized, I apologize. Again you hear adminis say they are powerless and that leads to conclusions.

Don't worry you don't have to lay out how pbbans works, been there done that got the tshirt. My point was I was told that's all you use. Again, I can only go on what I am told.

My video was private because guy in question remarked on it. It's not now.

Thanks for clarifying.

I never suggest that donations mean your word is taken more seriously, I'd imply that it may be protecting people. That was out of line on my part.

Never said I was playing elsewhere unless you are saying I'm no longer welcome because I voiced concerns. Also, this post was never about getting someone banned, may have been the straw to get opinions voiced but not the focus.

Dude, I don't know you. Cuban is right I don't know everything going on. Just voicing opinions.

Of course I'm not saying you aren't welcome or can't play on our servers because you stopped your donations due to differing opinion. That would be ridiculous. But, given the overall tone of your post, it seemed to be where this was headed.

Tbh. I still like the people, but don't think I can be a member anymore.

Cuban, I take back my fuck you. But still disagree.
Brian, got no beef with you personally, just disagree in stuff.

Just my 2 cents,
I have been apart of many clans/communities since I began playing first person shooters in CS 1.6 and this is by far the largest. While being a huge multi game community has its benefits, it also has its downsides. The close knit groups you reference are usually the groups that only have 1 or 2 servers and maybe 1 or 2 games. They all play together every day so they get to know each other. I am also still in contact with guys I played with in those groups. MIg (CMW) however is so big that the close knit group is still here, there are just more than 1, community. I'm sure you are pretty close with the regular players of server 10 as I am with the regular players of server 9. I am also friends with our Diablo 3 community. With so many servers across so many games it's hard to get to know people as well. For the admins, I usually stick with just server 9 issues. There are certian things that I personally prefer to have a lead deal with but I am available to help across all the BF servers. I have even helped you a couple times when you !report people and no other admins are available. If you ever have any questions as to why or how something has happend, if I'm able I will respond to the best of my knowledge. Same goes for the rest of the admins/leads. In my limited experience, any time I've had an issue or problem with whatever, when I PM or leave a message for an admin/lead, they more normally than not get back to me in a timely manner and with enough information to satisfy my questions.

That may just be it. I'm more competitive, I like smaller groups with less junk to deal with. See the same problems I saw in Bad Karma.

Yea, for the more competitive stuff, the smaller groups feel more transparent because you are close with essentially everyone. I do enjoy that and I feel I get it here, just not with everyone, mostly centered on the group of server 9.

As for the DM players i will give you an easy trick. I played a whole game with the DM guys and they are fun to play with. Yes they spawn camp on CAL. But there is 5 flags to spawn on. If you leave the vehicles empty they won't be able to kill you. anyway you can not cap every flag with the boats or helis. They are like bullies. As soon as you stop caring about them they leave you alone

I know you are a better player than them. if you want to play a raging game come jkoin me and watch what trolls do in League of legends or CSGO guaranteed laughs

I will probably take the opportunity to get into other games.
If they were really like bullies I'd just knock them out lol. I guarantee all of em together couldn't handle me.
It's not about them though, that was just want i decided was the end.

I'll be around on server, maybe ts. But not as MIg anymore.

I talked with Watja last night about the DM issue and why the ban may have been overturned ie. the account was ran through checks to see if it was associated with any account that's hacked in the past or any other shady information that may have come to light,. Like I told him, Brian probably didn't find sufficient evidence.

As much as we would like to ban people because we don't like them or that we suspect them of being cheaters we cant,. We go off of solid evidence, be it disruptions in chat or confirmed previous hack/ban history.

Research must be done, tolerance must be shown.. that's what makes us great here at Mig. We don't give you the boot because of our egos. Lord knows ive been tested lol..

And Brian is right, I can handle the vast majority of concerns pertaining to the BF4 community and so on.

Also, to be clear I don't have a problem with anyone in mig. The people I've actually dealt with have been cool. I just think more and more I like clans and not communities as hunter suggested.
More of an ideological difference. Yes part of that is the willingness to boot nitwits. Probably a bit to do with not being in my 20s anymore and too much real crap to have to deal with cyber crap too.
