I do not agree with the PUBG Special Players section of the teamspeak.
If you do not agree with it as well please post your thoughts in this post!

Also it seems to be the ones LYST wants in the channel with him who have the power to do so.

<23:08:55> "Ch0sen" left heading to channel "Channel 1"
<23:08:56> "squirreldoggy" left heading to channel "Channel 1"
<23:09:01> "[HeyDudeJoe] HeyDudeJoe" left, was moved to channel "Channel 1" by "III-LYST-III"

I believe lyst is using this channel to avoid players he doesnt want to play with, in reality no admin should be avoiding players especially
ones who want to play and had asked first. Reason i think that is because he has been using another teamspeak that he provided for
players he wanted to play with.

First Point: HeyDudeJoe, VeteranRico(Ch0sen)/Squirreldoggy and I had previously been playing Battlefield 4 together. We then said that we were going to squad up together. Rico called out a channel and moved there whereupon Squirreldoggy moved to that Channel as well, now I knew that Joe does not have the "pubg special tag" hence why I have to move this person down into the channel.

Second Point: You did not ask first as I previously mentioned but even if you had does this mean that the individual has to play with you?

Third Point: The Teamspeak Server you mentioned is not provided by me, I do not own it I do not make any financial contribution to the upkeep of that server but in essence that server originally fulfilled the purpose described by you, its use was in avoiding players who had a negative effect on enjoying the game.Since the introduction of the much needed "Pubg Special Channels" I have visited the other teamspeak server very rarely as it has now outlived its usefullness, as the same functionality is now provided by our own Teamspeak.

Fourth Point: "Also it seems to be the ones LYST wants in the channel with him who have the power to do so." I do not decide who gets access to the PUBG special tag, you must be a super admin or higher to have access to this function. If I am moving players in PUBG channels it is because they have either asked me to move them or because they do not have the Pubg Special Tag but who are however in a squad with myself.

Fifth Point: I've been avoiding you before I became an admin do you expect me to change that just because I now am? If I avoid playing with an individual there is a reason behind it but I am just too polite to tell them outright that I do not like them. However just like in the real world everybody can't be best friends but that doesn't mean that if you hop down into the admin help room with a legitimate grievance that I won't help you to the best of my abilities. I am here to help you with whatever issues you may have, It is not in my job description that I have to be your BFF.

So,

I never said we got this right from the start, but we have to do something. We have been doing this for over two weeks now and I haven't heard anyone complain about not being able to get away from spamming, obnoxious behavior, or just generally annoying, etc.

However, with this singling out type of thing, it is one thing I am a little concerned about. Personally, I wont play in the special channels like 90% of the time because, I am willing to try and work with anyone in playing this game. I prefer to be in the general channels, or possibly the restricted to knows so that people can find me and play.

However, again, this game just drives people to focus in on wanting to play with just certain people, because they play the same and think the same. So, we have to find away to allow them to do that when they are all on, without getting interference from others. Because if we don't, then they just create their own discord or TS and do it anyways, then we loose people who can potentially bring more players into the community.

It's a work in progress on how to balance it right.

...
Point Sixty Nine: You are WRONG, the TeamSpeak Server you mentioned is owned and operated by me, and since I pay for it... I can invite whomever I want.

It's a fantastic idea because it keeps the channel used for it's intended purpose and keeps out spammers and whatnot which have been an issue numerous times. I've flat out lost games because in tense spot in game suddenly random accounts have shown up blasting music.

Avoiding players is an unrelated issue and you're the common factor here. People avoid you because you're extremely negative and critical of everyone else's actions in game. You're constantly whining about something and blaming other players for things that aren't their fault and as a result people don't wish to play with you. Perhaps you should step back and take a look inward at how your own actions are effecting your experience here.

The other server isn't a MIg server. It's NTAK's private server and was created for some of us to have an alternative voice server when we want to play serious games without interference from spammers, extra people, ect. It has nothing to do with this community and was not created to exclude any person specifically and the admins are and were aware of it existing and was created months ago before you started playing with us.

This game by it's very nature is divisive and requires players to be of a similar mind, attitude, and play style. There are always going to be people who simply don't want to play this particular game with certain individuals because their play styles simply don't match and it's not always a case of it being a personal issue against someone.

Sincerely,

Mike Litoris

heres the way i look at it, and yes i singled lyst out. I was upset at the time. But the real reason i look at it is since those channels have been up the pubg channels look dead. look at it from a new player to MIG's pugb section, they do not see anyone in the teamspeak nobody wants to play with them because they are locked on a small group of players. So what do they do? they leave and find another teamspeak or another group of people to play with. This is a community <------ not a hideout

BDSM,

The first thing you need to do is apologize to Lyst for your unfounded and inaccurate accusations.

So,

Trying something a little different to see if it helps prevent people from feeling the need to utilize special channels.

1) Solo / Duo channels --> Only two people can join the channel
2) Squad channels, only four people can join the channel
3) (restricted to knowns) has no cap on the amount of people who can join.
-- Thought here is that if you have a user group, we know you, you know us, you know not to talk over people who are actively coordinating. You know not to interrupt, leave mic open, blast music, etc.So, no cap at the moment.

Should help decreased being interrupted by people when you are in a team.

I was the one who told him about this idea, at first he was very hesitant, but after realizing my genius he followed suit. When will people start listening.

Nah, jk

A few of my “friends” have suggested that I be supportive and stay positive, but where’s the fun in that...

First of all, I’m sure everyone is very appreciative of all the hard work that our admins have done to limit personality conflicts, regardless of which “genius” who first came up with the idea.

The reality of the situation is that some people are hard to get along with, whether it’s because they always talk about my mom *looks at Derlict* or because they are loot whores *looks at Lyst* or because they are Canadian *looks at Redemption* or because they are they are a pedophile *looks at Pantless Jeff*

That being said, it’s safe to say that you can’t satisfy everyone… just ask Motor’s girlfriend, she hasn’t been satisfied since he started dating her (oh snap)

This is part of the reason I created the Harambe Death Squad Teamspeak3 Server. For reference, the HDS Teamspeak3 Server is not owned or operated by MIG, and access to it is decided by group committee.

Sincerely,
Yurik Hunt

Bottom line, this is a gaming community. We play with the people we resonate with.

BDSM, you play with like minded people, Lyst does the same. This is a squad based game so grouping up is inevitable..

Real life, teamspeak whatever it may be, social groups naturally establish themselves. Were all adults here, unfortunately not everyone will like you. Happens to me all of the time.

Play with the people you enjoy playing with, if theyre already in a squad, be patient and wait your turn.

You're right, not everyone is going to be pleased. We're just trying to strike a balance here. One where it doesn't feel like you have to leave to get the experience you want... However, you may have to comprise in your ideals. Might not be able to get a 100% solution here, but my interest is in keeping people here and us moving forward with the ultimate goal of hopefully being able to get a custom server or two.

Custom servers will never happen for MiG if we are all going in different directions.

I don't like the idea of limiting more than one or two people from getting into the solo/duo channels as we often pop into those channels as to see if someone in there is interested in squading/duoing up. I think generally there just needs to be more respect when entering channels where someone may be in a game because you don't know what the situation in game is for them. When I enter a PUBG channel I generally don't speak until I've sat there long enough to figure out if it's a good time or not or if I've been addressed directly. No one should have to ask you to be quiet because they're in a situation where they need to concentrate or hear enemy players. A few people around here have pushed that boundary and been talked to about it and haven't continued doing it so I don't think that aspect is a concern, but it should be reinforced that people need to just give it a minute before speaking in those channels.

Having the "serious" set of channels is good because it keeps things serious and limited when they need to be but I think not having them be visible to everyone is kind of dumb for the reasons BDSM pointed out, it does make it look like the server is more empty than it is if people are hidden.

The audio spam shit is a different issue entirely and frankly fairly unavoidable as it's just a side effect of having an open voice server. The only real way around it is to limit the channels to certain usergroups. It may be worth simply creating a new user group that you have to be a part of to join the PUBG channels. The only downside is it limits us from getting randoms we might get squaded up with via the game itself in channel with us, but maybe we can add more TS admins or moderators who have pretty basic, limited powers to get around that?

And one last thing, we're all adults. There's no reason we can't simply tell other people we don't like playing a particular game with them and leave it at that without the drama. I know no one wants to hurt someone else's feelings, but beating around the bush is just setting ourselves up for unnecessary drama. If you don't like playing a particular game with a particular person it shouldn't be a big deal to let them know, know what, and know that it's not personal if it isn't. Have enough respect for each to be open about it so we're not turning into a bunch of fucking drama queens. I don't like playing PUBG with Lyst for more than a few matches, we just play completely differently. I've told him that and he know's it's not personal and we aren't on the forums blaming each other for unspoken bullshit and still play other games together regularly and that's how it should be with everyone. Not everyone is going to get along with one another in this particular game and that should be both recognized and accepted as just the nature of this game.

this is the same exact debate we had in CMW back when Day Z Standalone was a thing. We ended up by making more channels for different types of players. We might consider making a PUBG admin or leader like we had in the days Of DAY Z ...

I think the player limit on the different channels is a great idea that should be left the way it is. If you wish to squad up with someone, you can always message them or poke them. There is nothing more irritating than getting people joining your channel to ask if anyone wants to squad up or to just talk about random shit.

Doesn't bother me, or most people it seems since there's usually more than 4 people in a channel. I'd much rather someone jump in, wait a minute to see if it's a good time to talk and ask than message or poke me and have to tab out of game to see what it is. We're all adults, there's no reason we can't just have a little mutual respect and see what the situation is before talking.

hopefully an admin is on for when we someone who goes AFK in one of those "limited channels".... playing duo with an AFK player will be problematic

would it be possible to implement a feature which gives the first TS user who joins the channel temporary control of that TS channel, so that they may move a player out of the channel if they go AFK, maybe make it so that the player has to be classified as a "Known" to hopefully avoid any misuse of that power...just a thought

Also, the PVP aspect of it is really fun. It is comparable to Quake and Unreal Tournament.

If we keep growing we are planning on adding fireteam channels under the Destiny 2 channel so it isn't so crazy in the main channel.
