Hey Guys!

I have just got done playing No Man's Sky. For the first hour, I was actually LEARNING! I also enjoyed it immensely. The game is not very friendly to people who need a directive at first. Once you play it, you will know why I said "at first. Anyways, if anyone has any questions on the game, as in if they should buy it or not, just ask. And if you do have the game, pitch in a little.

No Man's Sky is fucking awesome, if you like exploration. I got lost in a cave for about a half hour before I saw sunlight again, but there was plenty of bioluminescence, which is my favorite type of illumination. It seems like most of the planets are carbon-based, which is kind of a letdown, but then again I've only seen like 3 out of what, 17 quintillion? This game has the potential to keep you busy for 100s of hours, but can also be picked up and put down pretty easily. There's a loose goal in that you want to reach the center of the universe, but you can just as easily explore instead.

All in all, it's like Spore but grown up.

The game does look interesting.

i read however that it has a plethora of problems on pc, The steam community is giving it only 55% positive reviews at this time. I think it would be a good idea to wait untill they fix problems. #1 being staying connected to the game.

One review come to mind. Some guy with a gtx1080 said the game auto loaded to 30 fps and 1080p when he has a 1440p monitor.

Ya I think this one is a wait and see.

Glad you like it though.

My game runs at 60fps solid on a 980 Ti. It loads automatically at 30fps but can be changed.

Well i guess your one of the lucky ones.

At 57% saying the game is good on Steam, for 60 dollars I think it is a wait and see proposition. Unless of course you have money you can just throw away on a whim.

Like I said this game has several issues.

It's an indie game with an original concept and program. The idea of creating a universe out of an algorithm is worth supporting in my mind. Sure, there are bound to be issues. It's a good idea though, and we're seeing less of those in the entertainment industry these days. As I would like to see more ideas like this come to fruition, I can handle a few glitches.

It's alright... Nothing special about it besides being massive.

Beyond that the game is really really lacking in terms of substance and direction...

Oh I'm thinking it's not so bad if you want to wander around doing nothing....for hours and hours and hours....

Or you can just let it play crashy crashy with your computer

Lots of issues upon release and TotalBiscuit just compared it to that shitty Batman game that got released on PC a while ago.

It does. it has crashed a couple times during my 3 hours I've played it. Also it keeps locking my frames at 30 even though my computer can run it at 60 and then some.

I believe the fix for this issue was to turn off V-Sync. I read it somewhere on Reddit.

I literally have had ZERO (0) issues playing this game. So I'm a little confused how so many people always have problems running a game. Like I can count maybe one or two times in my entire game playing history where a game killed itself.

Same. Can we get a TS channel going so people can play "together" and discuss things?

I had no problems until I upped the framerate to 60 fps, now I'm getting intermittent stuttering and once the game just crashed on me. Gonna change it back to 30 and see if that fixes it.

As far as content goes, yes it's a little bland but that's to be expected in version one. There are obvious tweaks to the algorithm that need to be made. Remember, all games that are released these days are basically open alphas, and very few games are released complete. The draw of this game is the originality and scale, both of which are very well accomplished.

I changed max fps to max and no issues going 144hz on my end.

This article articulates the draw of No Man's Sky very well. Give it a read if you're still on the fence.

I'm glad you guys like this game but...

or how about...

http://www.gamenguide.com ... nd-amazon-comply.htm

And many more like it.

I just don't want to see people waste their hard earned money on a game so many people that have played it, and reviewers think sucks.

Positive reviews on Steam from the community now stands at 42%. That is down from 57% when the game came out.

I don't think BFV is going to make much of a dent. might kill server 10 but I think Server 1 is going to stay alive for a min
TwinGunsLLP 18th Oct
So watched the single player trailer for BFV. Did they lose the robot arm broad? Still looks like a complete turd of a game.

Server 1 is the best!
TwinGunsLLP 18th Oct
Seeing as it's one the last 64 player policed servers (very well I might add) it will likely continue on as other servers dies and people need a place to see. #1 FO LYFE.
TwinGunsLLP 18th Oct
"Dying out"? The game is five years old, and there's almost always a waiting list on a 64 player server for most parts of the day. That's pretty incredible really.
Esgee 18th Oct
well good riddance then i guess, seeing as to how you ban players so frequently. reminds me of one operation locker server that used to be full all the time but too many bans were handed out and now its empty
