Hey Guys!

I have just got done playing No Man's Sky. For the first hour, I was actually LEARNING! I also enjoyed it immensely. The game is not very friendly to people who need a directive at first. Once you play it, you will know why I said "at first. Anyways, if anyone has any questions on the game, as in if they should buy it or not, just ask. And if you do have the game, pitch in a little.

No Man's Sky is fucking awesome, if you like exploration. I got lost in a cave for about a half hour before I saw sunlight again, but there was plenty of bioluminescence, which is my favorite type of illumination. It seems like most of the planets are carbon-based, which is kind of a letdown, but then again I've only seen like 3 out of what, 17 quintillion? This game has the potential to keep you busy for 100s of hours, but can also be picked up and put down pretty easily. There's a loose goal in that you want to reach the center of the universe, but you can just as easily explore instead.

All in all, it's like Spore but grown up.

The game does look interesting.

i read however that it has a plethora of problems on pc, The steam community is giving it only 55% positive reviews at this time. I think it would be a good idea to wait untill they fix problems. #1 being staying connected to the game.

One review come to mind. Some guy with a gtx1080 said the game auto loaded to 30 fps and 1080p when he has a 1440p monitor.

Ya I think this one is a wait and see.

Glad you like it though.

My game runs at 60fps solid on a 980 Ti. It loads automatically at 30fps but can be changed.

Well i guess your one of the lucky ones.

At 57% saying the game is good on Steam, for 60 dollars I think it is a wait and see proposition. Unless of course you have money you can just throw away on a whim.

Like I said this game has several issues.

It's an indie game with an original concept and program. The idea of creating a universe out of an algorithm is worth supporting in my mind. Sure, there are bound to be issues. It's a good idea though, and we're seeing less of those in the entertainment industry these days. As I would like to see more ideas like this come to fruition, I can handle a few glitches.

It's alright... Nothing special about it besides being massive.

Beyond that the game is really really lacking in terms of substance and direction...

Oh I'm thinking it's not so bad if you want to wander around doing nothing....for hours and hours and hours....

Or you can just let it play crashy crashy with your computer

Lots of issues upon release and TotalBiscuit just compared it to that shitty Batman game that got released on PC a while ago.

It does. it has crashed a couple times during my 3 hours I've played it. Also it keeps locking my frames at 30 even though my computer can run it at 60 and then some.

I believe the fix for this issue was to turn off V-Sync. I read it somewhere on Reddit.

I literally have had ZERO (0) issues playing this game. So I'm a little confused how so many people always have problems running a game. Like I can count maybe one or two times in my entire game playing history where a game killed itself.

Same. Can we get a TS channel going so people can play "together" and discuss things?

I had no problems until I upped the framerate to 60 fps, now I'm getting intermittent stuttering and once the game just crashed on me. Gonna change it back to 30 and see if that fixes it.

As far as content goes, yes it's a little bland but that's to be expected in version one. There are obvious tweaks to the algorithm that need to be made. Remember, all games that are released these days are basically open alphas, and very few games are released complete. The draw of this game is the originality and scale, both of which are very well accomplished.

I changed max fps to max and no issues going 144hz on my end.

This article articulates the draw of No Man's Sky very well. Give it a read if you're still on the fence.

I'm glad you guys like this game but...

or how about...

http://www.gamenguide.com ... nd-amazon-comply.htm

And many more like it.

I just don't want to see people waste their hard earned money on a game so many people that have played it, and reviewers think sucks.

Positive reviews on Steam from the community now stands at 42%. That is down from 57% when the game came out.

Shocked if that shitty BFV is to blame for this, wtf.

Dunno, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Comments are great, people ragging BFV and loving Sandstorm!

Semi auto is perfect for this game, as one hit is usually always a kill.
TwinGunsLLP 14th Dec
It's just so much fun with the semi auto weapons at medium range. I put a 2x red dot on the MK14 EBR with a suppressor and wheeee.
TwinGunsLLP 14th Dec
No, I think 5 maps total right now. Played a couple hours again last night, I'm really enjoying it!
superhanssolo 14th Dec
has it got more then 4-5+ maps?
TwinGunsLLP 13th Dec
I'm hoping he plays some more and puts the highlights in one of his highlight videos hah.
TwinGunsLLP 13th Dec
Also, unless you've been playing for awhile since Alpha etc. you're at a big disadvantage. I was playing with folks last night who really knew the game well, so they had certain angles etc. all covered. We need to learn the maps first and then we'll do much better, the game is incredibly fun though!
TwinGunsLLP 13th Dec
Doc is hilarious, you could tell his COD run and gun style is in no way suited for Insurgency. But he knows it's a good game that's why he never threatened to uninstall it lol.
TwinGunsLLP 13th Dec
Good question! Yes it says team damage when you it somebody, but I never actually tkd someone so not sure.
superhanssolo 13th Dec
Doc not doing so well this game but kept his cool never the less. lol i still can't figure out if there's team damage on?
TwinGunsLLP 13th Dec
For giggles, here's the Doc playing it yesterday. https://www.youtube.com/w ... atch?v=9J2Mm0COR6w
TwinGunsLLP 13th Dec
It's even more Hardcore more than traditional. There's absolutely no way to know if you hit somebody, or even killed somebody. You only find out your score when you die and TAB out. I really like it!
TwinGunsLLP 13th Dec
Servers are OK, I'm in STL and set it up for East Coast servers. I was routinely in the 35-50 ping range so not terrible. Best sounds in an fps game I've ever played for sure.
TwinGunsLLP 13th Dec
Yep Insurgency Sandstorm, super fun I played three hours straight! REAL hardcore mode game, it's awesome!
